THE UNIVERSAL BROTHERHOOD PART 6 – INSTRUMENT OF FAITH

Introduction

Spiritual revival of Islam in India

      In 1926, when India was still a colony an attempt was made to form a spiritual reformation society of the Muslims. An individual  set up a mission to reform Muslims of the India who were slowly forgetting the concept of the Islam and were being influenced by other groups or sects for their social lean ages and practices. This was an era of political awaking. Some of friends do not agree this was apolitical organization. It cites its connections with some politicians of highest order and honesty like Dr Zakir Hussein the former President of India and a vice-chancellor of repute too. Meeting people or discussing with the people does not form political links. The connection of few in news to the TJ seems a critic for the critics sake .May I request the gentleman and the learned who has raised these objections. Why he  and  all of us are silent about the connections of those making headlines in Mumbai case and having connections with the secret organizations. Even the most wanted here and there are traced to be the agents of the secret service searching them. Let us not go to individuals but see the character of an organization. Yes one point of the critics is true the TJ is confined to spiritual training only. I too feel the TJ future objective should be the use of science and technology in interpreting Quran and its application for the good of the Muslims. Muslims are those whose religion started with Iqra to read. It is the saying of the Prophet (saw)to go to China in search for the education. I fully agree with one of the critic and have already written many articles on the topic. I am not sure as I do not have much insight in TJ so cannot elaborate on the subject socio-economic agenda of the TJ,but may be someone somewhere reading these pages may do so in future. It is nevertheless very important to plead for the education and modern technological use by Muslims everywhere and anywhere, If some organization does not do it they will have to do it as it  is religious and needed for the development of the community both economically and socially.

Political Indian Revival

   Most of the nationalist Muslims in India set up an agenda of their own and none were thought to be caring for the spiritual upbringing of the Muslim faith. Many reformists of those times among the Muslims of India thought differently. Some were devoted to educational up lift ment and others to the political awaking of the masses. I have read a detailed description by one author dating back meeting or discussions of some political leaders with the founder to TJ.Although I respect his comments and do not refute them or support them.For argument sake we have the lineage daughter of Maulana ABU Kalam joining an organization whose views were never shared by her  grandfather. Does that mean anything more than the indidual own way of perceiving the things’ do not ascribe the view of meeting or discussing with a political group a political lineage of any sorts. The Muslims had ruled the state of India for a nearly 2 centuries before the advent of the British rule.

Muslim rule in India

  The difference between the two rules was the Muslims made India their home and lived here even when defeated, humiliated and thrown out of power. The other party took whatever we had and kept them in their Queens’ Kingdom, for their generations to be prosperous on the might of our Kohinoor’s , the J jewels, and the gold .The whole history of the Indian rule by the Moguls and then the takeover by the bruisers is not our subject of discussion .Here we are  narrating the board features of the times when this movement of the spiritual awakening of Muslims was initiated.

Universal Brotherhood

   We have given some of the details in our first article under universal brotherhood part 5; this is a continuation and part 6 of the same title. Here let us review the objectives of the organization at its initiation in 1926 and its transformation into a world missionary organization having presence in 150 countries.

SPRITUAL ORGANIZATION OF MWAT

The main aim of the organization (TJ-Tabligi Jam mat) was to revive the teaching of Islam by visiting Muslims in the neighbourhood of the MAWAT a place in India .The necessity of this organization was felt by the person a teacher and a true Muslim seeing the condition of the fellow Muslims in the India .They were unconnected with knowledge, economically shatter red.

KHELAFAT MOVEMENT

The KHELAFAT MOVEMENT AND THE Gadar of 1857 has made the Muslims and their establishment a target by the British rulers. Here may we recall the history as written, the Muslims and Hindus together wanted to revolt against the British forced occupation of the country and wanted to support the last king of India Bahudar shah Zaffar to regain his throne. The phatans of the Royal khand combined a force and wished to move to the Delhi. This move was tactfully sabotaged by the British who dethroned the King by treachery and deceit and exiled him. He died miles away from his home land .The rulers were so cruel and inhuman not to allow him 2sq yard land for the burial. He being a poet kept a scar on the face of these  rulers His last words were, ETNA BADNASEEB HI ZAFER KI DAFAN KI LEYE DO GAZ ZAMEEN NE MILL SAKE SOUE  DYARE MAIN) It s English version can be ,how much unfortunate was the zafar(HIS POETIC NAME)that he could get 2 yards of the earth of his wishes or his home land. One can imagine the days of human right violation, cruelty and injustice inflicted by the very people who are campaigns of the so called human rights now in the world. They had slept for long on the massacre of the Jews in Poland and kept mum and had treaties with the Hitler, until he tried to prepare attacks against their interests. The mockery and deceit played in declaring sad am with nuclear arsenical as a justification for a war to kill millions of the innocents in Iraq reminds us the days under their siege. If such is the face of humanity what should have been their cruelity. I wonder if under those tyrant eyes a teacher rises to build a small reformist organization, which had now flourished and reached to all corners of the world. I must say this is the glory of peace not war.

WORLD FOR PEACE NOT WAR

  Let us remind the present Zarfs and hitters on all sides and in every nation, organization and institution to shun the tyranny and submit to God and do right. Wrong is bound to be punished. Imagine a man so high who divides India was killed by a bullet not by Indians but by his own kinsman .As per news paper reports a lady love of those times shamelessly admits of her flittering (which are alleged to be instrumental in the division of this subcontinent) These divisions of the mankind on the basis of caste, colour, country or religion are the evil and treacherous ways which are devils acts and all religions forbid them. Let us all be the citizens of the world, forgive and start a new global village of peace and prosperity. Allow all to perform their religion as per their will. It Taliban’s enforcement of the barque is inhuman; its scrapping by a so called civilized nation is brutally inhuman. Why should the world send armies to correct the Taliban and not say a word to the other? This is evil .Let us shun evil wherever it is and whosoever he is. It is Gods earth and not any immortals like me and you, so the likeminded and good people of the world should raise their voice against the wall. I know all countries have good people. I have seen more good in the west than in the east or the Arab world. Let all good join hands .forget our past and build a nation of the globe where all are free to observe their faith. The evil is restricted and right is encouraged.Thinck of the days when all worlds thinks like me it will be heaven on the earth. We will have enough to eat .I have already written few articles that by 2050 even if we are 9 billions we will have enough to eat. Shun mockery and evil be good and see we will win the hearts of all, those wanted and those unwanted but hidden to be wanted. A world of my dreams where the sweet and sweaty are mixed with mohy to eradicate the darkness of this world.

INDEPENDENCE STRUGLE OF 1857

As the resources in this first war of independence by the Indian was a unified attempt by its subjects irrespective of the religion. The fight was supported by the Muslims in a big way, they became the targets after the war was won by the British through treasury and inciting a Hindu-Muslim Divide in India which ultimately divided the Indian Nation and we all are bearing the cost of that unnatural and forceful division. Even the whole world is at the brim of a volcano due that division.

Tabligi Jammat and independence

 Even in those days and later when many forms and transformations of the political systems in both Hindus and Muslims were shaping, this Tabligi Jam mat had a spiritualist missionary reputation and no political ambitions. Most of its fore founders and the present founders do not apparently co-exist or have any coherent attachment with any of the political systems of the world. They used to move in the villages in small groups and asking people to visit a mosque for nimaz and are not standing for any election or political activity. I know of some critics who were of the view that this organization favoured the British. Now a few critics say it is being attacked or enquired upon by the very forces. May I submit to them all good notions and deeds are opposed by the evil. Let us see it the preaching of good by an organization is bad then the mindset has to be changed. I have read some comments of a learned historian on the web. His note is nationalistic, good but he has to see himself as a Muslim too.

SPRITUAL LINEAGE THE DEV BAND UNIVERSITY

    Their spiritual spring of thoughts has been the DAEV BAND university of the Hanfi sect which to date has distanced itself from any controversial  alienations and has been severing the Muslim clergymen in dispensing any difficult matters confronting the Muslim law in the country. The Tabligi  Jam mat(TJ) as we understand has always distanced itself from the ruling parties of the subcontinent. It has strong presence in all the three regions or countries of the undivided India,ie the India where it born, Pakistan and Bangaladesh.The spread of this mission is spectacular. During 1926 it started with a lone person and in 2009 it is spread in 150 countries around the world. It largest mosques are in Briton, USA and France. The movement has been initiated by Muhammad ILyas on the theme and substance of the quranic verse which can be translates as , “let there arise out of you a band of people who shall invite all to good and right and forbid wrong”

DO RIGHT AND AVOID EVIL 

  This is the golden rule prescribed of all religions and is the basic dose of religious Medicare to the ailment of this sinful world. Many religious bodies, missionaries in the world do have various religious bodies asking the humanity to do right and avoid the wrong. For Muslims of the world who inhabit every hook and corner of this world as on date and constitutes around  33 % of the world population and   a majority of the world states or countries.

USSR AND CHINA AND MUSLIMS

  The proper census of the world is not clear about the numbers of them  in the erstwhile communist USSAR and those in the China. The religious demography of these states has been unreported .The exact numbering is shaping up. I have seen in the erstwhile USSAR mosques which used to be unattended but in contrast during my visit to the china I saw many mosques especially those in the town of Nago and Kunming in an excellent state of existence both culturally and religiously. A series of Nemaze offered by me in the communist china was a real contrast to my visit to Soviet union and its Muslim capitals in 1989.Both in USSAR and the Mongolian Republic I did find Muslims but not one practicing the faith but those bearing the remnants of the name. I do not know the exact situation as our visits were not as free time visitors but govt delegations. We thus had no choice of our own to visit a location but were under govt protocol officer’s command.

My perception of the visits to communist world

  Two things I noticed in these communist run countries, the first was write to eat. Even though in 1989 there was crisis of food in the USSAR and rations and hotels used to have big quos, once you are spotted with dollars to spend you were allured to have prior such  was the rush for the Us dollar that you could have better facilities and the conversion rates  outside the banks for the dollars was much higher than the official rates .Every one used to be made for the dollars in Russia or in Mongolia. Poverty or shelter less or schoolslessliness was non existent’s/Iremember having  met people at the far off pastures whose children had better educational facilities in the country.

EDUCATION AND FOOD  

The education and work culture was better in Mongolia than in Taskant.I remember a cab driver refusing to ply his cab pew tending some defects. But if you hint to pay in dollars he would dance all the way round and move with you. This was the shape of the deteriorating system in 1989, when asked I was told everyone is assured of a job and a salary. Come what may he is getting his salary. Even if he works the work was not linked with the wages or his earnings of the cab as such the manipulations. In our democratic set up you have another problem of overexploitation.

 VISIT TO CHINA

      Even here you are not sure what you pay is real or over rated. The system in china is also manuplative. Allah is great ,it had a correct ion from the German child  but God is greater than Allah. I used to laugh at it. See Allah and God are the same entities why should the people fight like these children, perhaps considering God too as truck or German.. I must say it here many people in the west are not well informed on Islam and the Quran. They confuse it with  the Arab culture  as the symbols of the Muslim world. The good and bad we are in all the people. It was among the Christian as well as Muslims. I  knew a Christian family  in Germany the Lei dings  near a doff  in Hannover district of Neidersachan  who were excellent religious and pure people. They were linked to the church and noble souls on the earth. I was amassed to realise the good in them .If we have to induce the element of good in a society we have to teach the moral code. This code has to be an instrument of measuring and performing well in a society.

Such religious codes and dictates can and are the only way to reform this ill-gotten society of ours. Let us first correct the Muslims to be true and faithful the rest will imbibe the good and follow  .If this is the character of the TJ, then sooner or later all will join this movement of purifying your soul and body.
